Wet snow on November 6, snow on November 7: Ukraine’s forecast
Ukraine’s Hydrometeorological Center forecasts rain mixed with wet snow on November 6 and scattered light snow across most regions on November 7. Sunday should be dry.
Ukraine is expected to see light rain, locally mixed with wet snow, on November 6, 2026, with light snow in the Carpathians. Forecasters expect scattered light snow across most regions on November 7. The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center published its November 6–8 forecast on November 5.

Overnight into Friday, November 6, light rain, locally mixed with wet snow, is forecast in northern and eastern regions and parts of central Ukraine. During the day, these conditions are expected across Ukraine except in most western regions. Light snow is forecast in the Carpathians.
Temperatures on November 6 will range from 0 to 6 °C throughout the day and night. Overnight temperatures in the Carpathians and Zakarpattia are expected to fall to −6 to −1 °C. On November 7–8, temperatures are forecast at −5 to +2 °C overnight and 0–6 °C during the day. Dry weather is expected nationwide on Sunday, November 8.

Northwesterly winds will blow at 7–12 m/s. Local gusts of 15–20 m/s are forecast during the day on November 6 in most western regions, as well as in Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions.
The phrase “first snow”, circulating in weather reports, needs qualification: the official forecast describes expected precipitation but does not identify it as the season’s first snowfall across Ukraine. It is a forecast, not a report of snow already falling, and gives no figures for snow-cover depth or duration.

The Hydrometeorological Center describes November as a transition from autumn to winter. Its monthly outlook, published on October 26, forecasts a mean temperature of 1–7 °C for November 2026, close to normal. That monthly figure does not replace forecasts for individual days.
