These Terms govern the use of the public Media Visnyk website. By using the website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. General provisions

These Terms do not replace the Privacy Policy, which separately explains the processing of personal data.

2. Permitted use

The website is intended for personal reading of public materials. Reading, sharing links to materials and quotation under section 3 are permitted.

Prohibited: automated mass scraping of content without the editorial team’s written consent (other than permitted search engines), interference with the website’s operation, attempts to circumvent technical restrictions, and use of materials to mislead the public or misappropriate authorship.

3. Copyright and quotation

Texts, photographs, graphics, video and the design of the website are protected by copyright law. Exceptions and limitations for quotation for informational purposes apply under the law.

Free quotation of public materials is permitted provided that: the source “Media Visnyk” is credited with a hyperlink to the original material; the extent of quotation is justified by its purpose; the author’s attribution, where given, is preserved; and the content is not distorted. Full reproduction of materials without the editorial team’s written consent is not permitted.

Photographs, graphics and video marked as belonging to or licensed from third parties are used within the granted rights and may not be passed on without the right holder’s permission.

4. Materials submitted to the editorial team

By sending a news tip, photo, video or other information (including to news@mediavisnyk.com or via the contact form), you confirm that you are entitled to share those materials and agree to their free editorial review and possible publication with or without attribution, at the editorial team’s discretion, unless agreed otherwise in advance.

The editorial team does not guarantee publication of submitted materials and is not obliged to keep them confidential unless agreed in advance. Please do not send materials whose disclosure could harm you or third parties.

5. Editorial transparency

Some draft materials are prepared with software tools, including machine-learning based tools. Every material undergoes human editorial review before publication: fact-checking, proofreading and editor approval.

Responsibility for published content lies with the editorial team. If you notice an error, tell us — we will review the report and, where necessary, publish a correction under our editorial policy.

6. Liability and external links

Information is published “as is” with editorial diligence, but the website does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, freedom from technical errors or perpetual currency of materials. Materials do not constitute legal or other professional advice.

The website contains links to external resources (primary sources, social media). The editorial team is not responsible for the content or data practices of third-party websites.

Nothing on the website constitutes a call for violence, discrimination or unlawful action.

7. Applicable law

These Terms and the use of the website are governed by the law of Ukraine and, as regards personal data, additionally by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) where its territorial scope covers the processing in question. Disputes are resolved under the applicable law.

8. Changes to these Terms

The editorial team may update these Terms. The latest revision date always appears on this page. Material changes are announced on the website.
