According to Ukrinform, answering a question about his meeting with Dmitriev, Trump said the agreement would concern not only Ukraine but possibly all of Europe. The president did not specify its terms. His remarks therefore referred to a possible future arrangement, rather than announcing an agreement already concluded.

A separate humanitarian event involving US First Lady Melania Trump and representatives of Ukraine and Russia took place at the White House the same day, focusing on the mission in occupied Oleshky in Kherson region. Ukraine was represented by parliamentary human rights commissioner Dmytro Lubinets and lawmaker Davyd Arakhamiia, while Russia was represented by Dmitriev and Russian human rights commissioner Yana Lantratova, Ukrinform and Ukrainska Pravda reported.
