The latest forecast anticipates further precipitation overnight. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center’s forecast, reported by Ukrinform, light snow is expected in parts of Kyiv and the surrounding region overnight into Saturday, November 7. No daytime precipitation is forecast, with patches of ice possible overnight and in the morning.

Temperatures in the capital are forecast at 0 to +2 °C overnight and +3 to +5 °C during the day. In the surrounding region, temperatures are expected to range from −3 to +2 °C overnight and 0 to +5 °C during the day. Northwesterly winds will reach 5–10 metres per second. The Kyiv forecast therefore does not anticipate daytime frost, but the warning about slippery roads applies overnight and in the morning.

The snow reports coincided with a fresh deterioration in the city’s utility services. On the evening of November 6, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said damage to an energy facility in Zhytomyr had worsened Kyiv’s electricity supply and reduced pressure in its water supply system. This was a cause of disruption separate from the weather: the mayor linked the problems to damaged energy infrastructure, not snow.

Klitschko said Kyivvodokanal was switching stations to generators wherever possible. His evening statement gave no timeline for restoring normal water supply.
