Attack on Vinnytsia region on November 5 injures three
Three people were injured in a Russian attack on Vinnytsia region. Two truck drivers were admitted to hospital in moderately serious condition.
A Russian attack on Vinnytsia region on the morning of November 5, 2026, caused fires and injured three people. Civilian and critical infrastructure was damaged in several communities. Suspilne reported this, citing regional military administration head Natalia Zabolotna.

Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov clarified that one strike hit a community adjoining Vinnytsia, rather than Vinnytsia community itself. A fire broke out at the site. Two injured people were taken to a city hospital in moderately serious condition. The initial report of two hospital admissions therefore concerns one strike site, while the figure of three injured covers the region as a whole.
The two hospitalised men are truck drivers. Valerii Mazur, medical director of the emergency hospital, told Suspilne that both were conscious and had injuries to their faces, torsos and limbs. They are undergoing further examinations and receiving treatment.

Drivers Oleksandr Mamchurov and Ruslan Sheshenia told journalists they were transporting sugar from Pryluky to Romania and had stopped near Vinnytsia to replace their batteries. An explosion occurred about 20 minutes later. Mamchurov said the blast wave threw him out of the cab. Two trucks and a trailer burned at this location.
At another strike site, 11 vehicles were damaged, four of them completely destroyed by fire, Zabolotna said, according to Suspilne. A local resident, Ivan, also told the broadcaster about damage to the roof, ceiling, windows and front doors of a house his family was renovating before moving in.

The fire at the impact site was extinguished. According to regional emergency service information cited by Suspilne, 50 rescuers and eight vehicles were deployed to fight it. Rescuers had to withdraw to a safe distance because of a renewed air attack threat. Explosive ordnance specialists checked the surrounding area for explosive hazards. Power workers began repairs at damaged facilities after the all-clear.
According to Suspilne, the air raid alert in the region lasted from 10:12 to 11:22 Kyiv time. The Air Force warned of jet-powered drones heading towards Vinnytsia and later over the city. The broadcaster's correspondents heard explosions and saw smoke rising above the city.
